I didn’t need that stoopid widget anyway. All I need is… is this ashtray. And this paddle game. That’s all I need.

Right, then. I think I have figured out how to have my cake and eat it two. I think there are probably some minor style issues that I’m not going to worry about, but at least my MLS table hasn’t completely screwed things up…
I think. Let me know if it’s still broke on your end.

I’ve been praying a paraphrase of the Lord’s Prayer pretty regularly the last few weeks. It’s based on the one Dallas Willard offers in The Divine Conspiracy, and tends to go something like this:
Dear Dad who fills all space and time from beyond the farthest galaxy and back to the very air I breathe,
You are unlike anything else in the universe!
Help us figure out how to live our lives like you would live our lives if you were us.
Give us what we need for today,
And have pity on us when we screw up just like we should have pity on others when they make mistakes.
Keep us out of harm’s way, because we are weak and likely to fail,
Ultimately, You are in charge, and You are strong enough and loving enough do all these things for all of us
Today and every day, until there are no more days!

So, tonight I watch Boston Legal, in which Shatner’s character is introduced wandering around the office without pants (He had a spill and thought the choice between appearing incontinent and eccentric was fairly easy.)
And then I see Lorelle’s post on CSS Naked Day in my Dashboard. Surely a sign from above!
Here’s the official blurb…
What happened to the design?

OK, I haven’t worked out the MLS Table widget yet, but I did try out Photon, a plugin for iPhoto that makes posting to WordPress a cinch! I think this may be one of those must have plug-ins for Mac bloggers. I did the two previous posts in about 60 seconds each: Find the photo, enter comments, export the photo. That’s it!
Download Photon here. Installation instructions are here. Additional information on settings within iPhoto are here.
Columbus 2 - 0 Toronto

While last week’s visiting crowd was indeed something to behold, the home supporters gave it their best. Now if only some of that Northend spirit would work it’s way around the grounds.
The Crew show their appreciation to the home crowd.
DIY - The Kitchen

This is going to be the year of DIY, I think. We’ve got plans to get the deck we talked about all last year in finally. And we’re going to turn Kerri’s kitchen into a room worthy of her cooking. Starting now.
About 1/3 of the original hardwood revealed. Why on earth would anyone cover it?

[UPDATE2] Apparently the widget is working. Might have had something to do with the “Latest News” category and the fact that those posts are highlighted at the top vs. in the body. Don’t know, and as long as things keep working don’t care.
[UPDATE] So the widget seems to have broken by theme. I’ll see if I can’t work it out an put it back in later this weekend.
[ORIGINAL POST] MLS has begun, so I’ve added a widget to the sidebar. All part of my master plan to impose my will upon you all.
/me laughs evilly.
In all serious, the visiting Toronto fans deserve full kudos for their showing on Saturday. Here’s hoping the home fans in Crew Stadium pick up that gauntlet. The Northenders… or whatever their called now that that hideous stage has been erected… do well, but it’s time other fans around the grounds joined in. I’ll be doing my part in Section 206!
